HOW IT ALL BEGAN...

First of all, where've you been, man?

Back in the day, there were these four guys in North London who used to meet up in a car park once a week. All of them were banned from driving and stuck for stuff to do, so they passed the time showing off tough old-skool moves with a battered bucket seat and a stereo. Then other guys who'd lost their licences started turning up to show what they could do, and the thing just grew.

In October 2005 the sport was transformed into its modern day version when calls were made for more regulated equipment and better venues, following a summer of seat-spring-related buttock injuries.
