WORD ON THE SEAT
The rules - a summary
- 1) All competitors must provide evidence that they are carless as a result of points received for speeding. This can be either a disqualification notice or an insurance quote dated within the last 3 months.
- 2) Your routine must be all your own work.
- 3) Performances are judged on style, technical difficulty and originality.
- 4) The judges' decision is final.
- 5) The air driving seat is the only prop permitted. Any modding to steering wheels, gearsticks, pedals etc. must be done in your head.
- 6) Reports of seat-tampering will be investigated and may result in disqualification.
- 7) After a number of incidents involving costumes getting caught in the seat, capes are no longer permitted.
- 8) Seat accessories are prohibited, with the exception of lumbar supports. Beaded seat covers do not count as lumbar supports.
- 9) The organisers accept no responsibility for the following: wrist/ankle injury; cases of driver's calf or racer's buttock; prangs; breakdowns; flood, fire and theft; rising house prices; the failure of Dave's CD player.
